Whether you're a complete beginner, looking for a new family activity, or simply curious about the game, Discover Golf at Lorette Golf Course is the perfect opportunity to get started.
Our next Discover Golf event takes place on June 14, and is designed to introduce golfers of all ages and skill levels to the game in a relaxed, fun, and welcoming environment.
What is Discover Golf?
Discover Golf is a program launched at Lorette Golf Course in 2024 with one simple goal: to introduce more people to the game of golf and help remove barriers to getting started.
Golf is a sport that can be enjoyed for a lifetime, and Discover Golf is designed to provide an easy, affordable, and enjoyable introduction to the game.
During this one-hour experience, participants will enjoy:
A 10-minute golf lesson
Golf club fitting
Mini putt activities
Introduction to golf etiquette
Games and activities for kids and adults
Tips and pointers to help you feel comfortable on the golf course
Opportunities to ask questions and learn from experienced golfers
Whether you're picking up a club for the first time or looking to build confidence before heading onto the course, Discover Golf is a great place to start.

Affordable and Accessible
One of the goals of Discover Golf is to make golf more accessible.
The cost to participate is:
Kids: $5
Adults: $15
Payment is required at the time of registration.
No Clubs? No Problem.
Many people think they need to buy golf clubs before they can try the game. That's not the case.
Lorette Golf Course provides rental clubs and junior clubs for Discover Golf participants. If you already own clubs, feel free to bring them along, but they are absolutely not required.
As part of the event, participants can also receive guidance on club fitting and equipment options if they decide they'd like to continue playing after the event.
How Groups Are Organized
Participants are sent out in groups of four and can register as an individual or with friends and family.
Groups are organized by age and skill level, including:
Beginner and Intermediate
Juniors
Families
Ladies
Men
Seniors
This helps ensure everyone has a comfortable and enjoyable learning experience.
Event Start Times
Discover Golf events are staggered throughout the afternoon and evening.
When you register, you'll be assigned a specific start time such as:
4:00 PM
4:20 PM
4:40 PM
Your one-hour Discover Golf experience begins at your assigned start time.
Additional Information
A few things to keep in mind:
There is no strict dress code for Discover Golf participants.
The Nine & Dine Restaurant and patio will be open throughout the event.
Participants are encouraged to attend multiple Discover Golf events throughout the season.
Additional instruction and more advanced tips are available for returning participants and intermediate golfers.
