1) What is Discover Golf? What does the event include?
Discover Golf is a new program started in 2024 at Lorette Golf Course. The goal of Discover Golf is to introduce people to golf and give back to the game. This is an hour of experience introducing you to golf. Here, you will learn pointers that will help you on the golf course. The day includes a 10-minute golf lesson, club fitting, mini-putt, an introduction to golf etiquette, games for kids and adults, and more
2) Who can join Discover Golf?
Discover Golf is for everyone, and all are welcome. The program is designed to introduce children, families, ladies, men, seniors, and couples to golf. Golf is a sport that you can carry with you throughout your lifetime. Why not start today? Whether you want to pick up a new hobby, learn to play golf for business or join your partner who likes to golf, you are welcome here. Discover Golf offers different activities tailored to different age groups.
3) Is there a cost to the event?
There is a small cost to the event: $5 for kids and $15 for adults. Payment is required at the time of registration. Discover Golf is designed to introduce people to golf by removing barriers to entry.
4) Do I need my own clubs?
No, you do not need to purchase or borrow someone’s clubs to participate. Lorette Golf Course offers rental and junior clubs for Discover Golf days. As part of the event, we will also be available to do club fitting. We have contacts for toddler, junior, and all types of golf suppliers to help you order a set if you would like. If you do have your own clubs, feel free to bring them!
5) Can I sign up for multiple Discover Golf events?
Yes! We encourage you to attend as many Discovery Golf events as you like. Although designed to be an introductory program, more advanced lessons and tips are available for intermediate players and golfers who have attended a Discovery Golf day before. We only take registrations for the upcoming event. If you are looking to participate in the July 24 event, please register ASAP.
6) How are groups decided?
Groups will be sent out as four-balls (groups of four). You can sign up as an individual, a group of two, three or four. Groups will be separated into categories by type and skill level.
Beginner and Intermediate:
Juniors
Family
Ladies
Men
Seniors
7) What time does the event start?
Start time depends on the event date. The event is staggered in 20 minute blocks. If the event starts at 3:30 pm, you will be given a start time of 3:30, 3:50, or 4:10, etc. Groups will run at 4 people per time slot. The hour experience will start from your time slot.
